.500 Weekend
The Holloway Automotive Minor Atom Warriors had mixed results this weekend losing 3-2 to Sarnia on the road Saturday but then rebounding with a big win on Sunday, 6-0 over the Brantford 99ers.
Saturday in Sarnia the dreaded, "bus-legs" bit the young Warriors as they suffered a 3-2 loss to the Sting. Bridgey scored early from Brenzil but other than a goal by Cassone late in the 3rd there wasn't much to get excited about on this day. Walters was the best Warrior stopping everything he could and keeping the game within reach.
Sunday at home the boys brought a much more determined effort as they pumped the 99ers from Brantford 6-0. DeBoeck with 2, Bridgey, Martin, Mikel, and Davis all scored with helpers to Kibedi, Holloway, Bauld (2), Parsons, and Hish. Bowlsey earned the shutout and was solid throughout.
