1 Up, 1 Down, 1 More to go
The Dunny's Source for Sports Jr. Warriors Major Atom MD Team played 2 out of 3 games vs. the Oakridge Aeros to complete regular season. The boys finished the weekend with 1 win, 1 loss and only 1 league game left to clench first place in regular season and guarantee a Provincial appearance.

The boys started the weekend with an away game, hosted by the Oakridge Aeros. Netminder, Lachlan Stanley saw action early in the game, but stood large and in charge the entire game! Stanley was a key factor in the Jr. Warriors skating away with the win. Jordan Keane led the goals with a battle from behind his own net, battling behind the Aeros goaltender and slamming in the first goal of the game. The second period saw a beautiful pass by Rowan Smith to line-mate Owen Chadwick who sniped one in, giving the Jr. Warriors a 2-0 lead to finish the period. Oakridge was able to crash the net and get their first goal of the game, early in the third. Defensemen, Ellis Schnurr came up with a huge body save, stopping the Aeros from tying the game up. Shortly after, Logan Hallock stole the puck and made way threw the Aeros, firing one off and netting the 3rd goal. Ending the third, Chadwick passed to Hallock, who fed Smith, who stormed the net and banged in the Jr. Warriors final goal. The Warriors skated away with a 4-2 Victory!

The boys hosted the Oakridge Aeros Sunday afternoon and had a frustrating game. Multiple offensive chances but couldn't find enough holes around the Aeros goaltender, to skate away with another victory. The Jr. Warriors fell to the Aeros 5-3 in a discouraging defeat. Tyson Cassone plowed threw the Aeros and netted the first goal for the Warriors, unassisted in the first. Sammy Binns carried the puck and made a quick release blocker side shot, netting the second goal for the Jr. Warriors, unassisted. Adam Jeffrey made a long range shot from the blue line, nailing the back of the net, assisted by Liam Ollson and Spencer Murphy.

Next Action: Sunday, January 20th 2:00P.M at Allman Arena vs. Oakridge Aeros.
