Ending to the 2017-2018 Season

The Dunny's Source for Sports Major Atom MD Jr. Warriors Team played in the 2018 MD CHAMPIONSHIPS this weekend in London, Ontario.
Game #1 vs. Hamilton Huskies
The boys faced off against the undefeated Hamilton Huskies at Nicholson Arena Friday morning. The Jr. Warriors had their game faces on and played an even matched battle throughout the game. The Jr. Warriors struck first on a power play goal ending the first period by Liam Ollson, assisted by line-mate Logan Hallock. The game was a continuous goal for goal action, with the outcome not in the Warriors favour. Scoring the remaining goals for the Warriors were Ollson, Sammy Binns and Rowan Smith, all unassisted.
Goaltender LACHLAN STANLEY received Player of the Game Award, for his many key saves that kept the boys in a close battle.
Game #2 vs. Kitchener Rangers Blue
The boys fell to the Rangers with a discouraging loss. The boys had a slow game and struggled at gaining offensive opportunities. Scoring the lone goal for the Jr. Warriors was Owen Chadwick, assisted by line-mate Hallock.
Defensemen ELLIS SCHNURR received Player of the Game Award, for his aggressive work in the corners, winning battles and moving the puck to the offence.
Game #3 vs. West London Hawks
The boys fell to the Hawks, in a frustrating loss. The Hawks came out to play for a Victory and they had hustle and drive on their side. Scoring the lone goal of the game with a beautiful shot from the point top shelf was Binns, assisted by Hallock.
Defensemen SAMMY BINNS received Player of the Game Award, for his continues hustle all game and scoring the lone goal for the Jr. Warriors.
With the season at an end, the parents and coaches would like to Congratulate the boys on another well fought season, with many ups and downs & wish all the MAJOR ATOM MD Boys GOOD LUCK on the upcoming 2018-2019 Season Tryouts!

WARRIORS would like to give a HUGE THANKYOU to Head Coach- Steve Ollson & Team Manager- Amy Ollson for committing themselves for the past three years to the 2007 MD Warrior Team. As players have left and been added, the Ollson's always maintained the TEAM unity throughout the 3 years, creating an environment that the boys enjoyed being apart of, on and off the ice. Close friendships have been made throughout parents and players, that started in the 2015-2016 Season. So thank you for your commitment, dedication & time put into our boys and families! We are excited to have you join us in the stands for the 2018-2019 Season, cheering loudly !! *
