The Perth Auto Dismantlers Major Atom Warriors brought home some Christmas cheer with a 4-2 win in London.
Ryan McGill got the call in net for the Warriors on Saturday afternoon and was rock solid. Stratford struck first with a beauty power play goal from Dawson White, assisted by Ryan Gansevles and Rylan Hall. Stratford’s second of the game came from Lukas Steele, assisted by Blair Stokes and Austin Musselman. The Jr Knights fought back to tie the game, which made for an exciting third period. Late in the third Grady Murphy danced in for the go head goal, assisted by Nathan Siebert and Carter Petrie giving Stratford a 3-2 lead. With the Warriors on the penalty kill and minutes left, Murphy battled again and fired one past the Knight’s goalie, assisted by Musselman and Colin Schultz. It was a true team effort by the Warriors in their final league game in 2017.
