The Perth Auto Dismantlers Major Atom Rep Warriors bounced back with two wins this weekend.
Saturday afternoon the Warriors took on the Hamilton Huskies at home and came away with a 3-1 victory. Brenden Sippel and Ryan McGill shared the cage and both were strong throughout the game. The Warriors adapted well to some changes, striking first with a goal from Dawson White, assisted by Colin Schultz and Dylan Abel. Hamilton answered back to tie the game mid-way through the second. Early in the third the Warriors nabbed the go ahead goal with a shot from Carter Petrie, assisted by Lukas Steele. Strong work on the blue line from Austin Musselman and Rylan Hall kept Hamilton at bay. Petrie nabbed a second goal late in the third, assisted by Grady Murphy as Stratford skated away with the win.
Game 2 of the 6 point series was in Hamilton on Sunday afternoon. Once again the goal tending duo of McGill and Sippel guarded the cage with tenacity, sharing the shut out. The Warriors opened the scoring with a rocket from Ryan Gansevles, assisted by Steele. Moments later, Nathan Siebert doubled the score, assisted by Dawson White and Petrie. Late in the second Zach Schultz battled along the boards and skated in to score, assisted by Blake Hodgson giving Stratford a 3-0 lead. The Warriors closed out the game with a final goal from Petrie, unassisted for a 4-0 victory.
