Minor PeeWee MD Update - by Brett Buckley
The Stratford All Equip Repair Minor PeeWee MD Jr. Warriors played a couple of games this week first playing at home on Sunday where they hosted the Burlington Bulldogs.

Burlington opened the scoring in the first firing a puck past a helpless Hutton Patterson, who played well in the crease for Stratford.  The warriors tied the game on a nice rebound goal by Brayden Gerber.  Jackson Campbell and Sam Pepper collected assists.  Ethan Plotnik scored late in the first period unassisted to put the home team up by 1.

Back and forth action in the second but Burlington took the lead before Stratford tied the game at 3 apiece with a nice goal from Justin Hodgson after some hard work in the offensive zone.  Cole Humphrey and Lachlan MacArthur picked up assists.

Hard play on both ends of the ice in the 3rd frame for the Jr Warriors kept the score tied until Burlington scored 3 unanswered before Stratford picked up goals by Nate Framst , assist going to Quinn Elder and Gerber with his second of the game on the power play.  Plotnik and Pepper got the helpers.  Stratford fell 7-5 but played well in the loss.

Tuesday night The All Equip Repair Peewees hosted 2nd place Kitchener here at the RBC arena.  Although they fell 8-0 to a faster skating Rangers team, for the most part they played well containing the visitors to only 4 goals through 2 periods of play.

Some strong defense from Jack Buckley, Hunter Currie who played a very solid game and Cole Humphrey kept the Jr Rangers at bay.  Nick Laverty was solid in net, stopping several odd man rushes ,2 breakaway attempts and a barrage of shots.

Offensively Stratford had some nice scoring chances from Ethan Plotnik, Brayden Gerber, Jackson Grasby and Austin Cosstick.

The Jr Warriors have a busy weekend this week where they travel to Brantford Saturday to take on the 99ers and host Burlington Sunday afternoon here at the Allman at 12:30pm.
