Streaking Warriors win again! by Brock Appel
What do the 1976 Oakland Raiders the 1990 NY Giants and the 2017 Stratford PeeWee jr Warriors have in common? All have delivered 10 game undefeated streaks. The Warriors defeated the Woodstock jr Navy Vets Saturday 4 -2 to keep their streak alive.

The squad initiated the scoring with a goal by Owen Gaylor from the point on passes from Isaac Nickel and Quinn Appel. Up next was Ryan Haines from Mark Pyzowski with a wrist shot that handcuffed the Navy Vet goalie to make it 2 nil.  Woodstock scored on a pp goal to close to within one.  Appel opened the lead back to 2 with the eventual game winner from Nickel and Brett Knechtel on a tape to tape to tape pass that was reminiscent of Potvin to Trottier to Bossy.  The fourth goal came on an Al Iafratean clapper from Max Harvey that set the goalie on his heels, Luke Ahrens swooped in like a seagul at Ken's chuckwagon to hammer home the rebound, Gabe Emms picked up an assist on the play. Woodstock continued to hang around and scored shortly after to pull within 2.  The Vets pressured but Hayden Beuermann and the D-Corps held down the fort to preserve the 4 2 win.
