Tough Weekend For The Minor Bantams

Friday night the Minor Bantams were on the road heading to Hamilton to play against the strong Hamilton Huskies. The Warriors fell just short with a score of 5-4. Goals for Stratford came from Cole Lewis (2), Jacob Hall and Tyler Wagler. Helpers were produced from Hall (3), Lewis, Issac Deline and Nick Houben. James Cormier Hazen was strong between the pipes, while Deline and Anthony Guzinec played well defensively to help hold the strong Huskies off.



 Saturday the Warriors were on the road again travelling to St. Thomas, where they fell short 7-3 on the big ice. Goals for Stratford Hall (2), and Lewis, assists came from Lewis (2),Houben and Aubrey Carter. Hard work by Tripp Gilbert and Matthew Barber helped to keep the goals out of Russel Sebbens net.

 Third game of the weekend was at home, battling against the tough and big Brantford 99'ers. Stratford looking a little tired, but never gave up. Brantford came ahead with a score of 4-1. Lone goal for Stratford was from Sam Bolger, assisted by Zach McCann and Gilbert. Cormier-Hazen was faced with many shots in net while big battling defense came from Porter Aitken and Connor McIntosh.
