Minor Bantam Reps Go 1-1 Over The Weekend

The Cherrey Bus Lines Minor Bantams, travelled to Waterloo over the past weekend to start their first round of playoffs.



Starting in net for Stratford was James Cormier-Hazen, he made many key saves to help keep Stratford in the game. Stratford started the third down by two, never giving up finally got a break. Cole Lewis scored the first goal assisted by Matthew Barber and Zach McCann. Just four minutes later Nick Houben made no mistake rushing the puck and finding the back of the net, tying up the game, and sending it to OT. Just two minutes into OT, Issac Deline had a hard shot from the point and it was all over, assisted by Houben and McCann. Stratford won 3-2 to take the first game.

The second game was played in Stratford the very next day, Waterloo came to play. Stratford fell to Waterloo 5-2 with one empty net goal. Together Cormier-Hazen in net and his defence battled hard to stop the tough Waterloo team. Stratford first goal came from Nole Mussleman, who dangled his way through to the net and beat the goaltender with no problem, and Houben scored a late goal, assisting on both goals were Ethan Scrimgeour and Tripp Gilbert.
