The Evoke Marketing Warriors picked up a win and a loss in their return to regular season action, October 20 and 21.
The Warriors traveled to West London October 20 to face the Hawks. Nate Meadows opened the scoring with a beautiful point shot that found the top corner midway through the first with assists to Ethan Schmidt and Ethan Bridges. Mac Munro made several great stops to maintain the lead. Unfortunately the Hawks scored two quick goals early in the third and added another with 3:18 to go before Colton Campbell intercepted a pass at the blue line and found the back of the net to make it 3-2. The Hawks scored an empty netter to win 4-2.
On October 21, the Oakridge Aeros were in town and the Warriors were looking for revenge. The Aeros jumped out to a quick 2-0 after one but the Warriors settled down in the second and started to chip away at the deficit. Ethan Bridges cut the lead in half on a pass from Jason Adair and Cohen Bowles midway through the second. In the dying seconds of the period, Bridges jammed his second home from Colton Campbell. Adair made it 3-2 when he ripped one top corner with assists to Cohen Bowles and Parker Glitz. After Oakridge found the five hole moments later to tie it up, Glitz gave the Warriors the win when he converted on a pass from Bowles and Adair. Tender Munro made some good stops to preserve the 4-3 win.
The Warriors are back in action October 27 in Sarnia and they host West London Hawks October 28 at 1 p.m. at the Allman
