Dunny’s Source For Sports Major Atom MD Shows Great Team Work Pays Off!
The Major Atom Warriors took to the ice working hard to prove playing as team pays off! The Warriors met up with the Burlington Bulldogs Red team for a home and home battle October 13 and 14. The Warriors knew this would be a strong team and we were right - the Bulldogs would not go down easily. Alex Robinson opened up the scoring with the support from Andre Lefebvre and Liam Benton. This line continued to find success working together as they scored another in the third when Lefebvre put one in from Benton and Robinson. In the last two minutes of the game Fischer McPherson setup Tayler Cook for the go ahead goal giving the Warriors a 3-2 win over Burlington.
The Warriors knew the Bulldogs would be back for revenge when they arrived to the Allman the next day. Burlington managed to get the first goal on the board. Stratford’s Andre Lefebvre answered with a goal to tie up the game, receiving a pass from Liam Benton. The two teams battled on the hot hands of Lefebvre scored the second goal with a pass from Alex Robinson. The Bulldogs also managed to get another goal, but the Warriors refused to let them win. The score ended in a 2-2 tie for the very evenly matched up hockey teams.
