Hamilton Refuses To Back Down, But That Doesn’t Stop The Major Atom MD’s
The Dunny’s Source For Sports Major Atom MD Warrior’s met up with the Hamilton Huskies in Hamilton on October 28. The Warriors opened up the scoring with a shuffle in front of the net less than two minutes into the first period when Preston Jeffrey shot it in.  He was assisted by Joshua Steele and Taten Mikel. Less than a minute later Alex Robinson scored with support from Andre Lefebvre and Mikel with his second assist of the game. Before Lefebvre finished his shift he skated end to end and scored unassisted. Liam Benton followed with another unassisted goal.  Lefebvre finished the first with his second goal of the game assisted by Mikel.

Stratford might have dominated the first period, but between periods, Hamilton decided to regroup.  Hamilton was able to bring themselves back within reach. This was a rude awakening for the boys, but they quickly turned the second period into a more defensive game.  Wesley Patterson scored the Warriors’ first goal of the second with assists from Kieran Johnson and Mikel for his fourth assist of the game. Then defenseman Blake McIntosh set up his partner Mason Bauld with a nice D to D pass to which Bauld was able to skate through Hamilton and score.  Hamilton was able to get some more goals on the board in the second.
Then it was Stratford’s turn to regroup at the bench between periods. Benton got the first goal of the third unassisted. Tayler Cook snuck one past the Hamilton goalie assisted by Robinson and Lefebvre. Stratford’s final goal in the 10-6 win over Hamilton was from Lefebvre for the hat trick assisted by Cook.
