The light is GLOWING for the Minor Pewee MD Jr. Warriors
The Minor Pewee All Equip Repair & Service Jr. Warriors lit up the scoreboards again with one on the road and their home opener this past weekend.

Saturday vs. Burlington Bull Dogs White

The Jr. Warriors were on the road again Saturday afternoon to face off against the Burlington Bull Dogs White in their home opener. The boys had a solid first period keeping offensive pressure but were robbed by the Bull Dogs netminder for the first 17minutes, until Logan Hallock fed defencemen Sammy Binns at the point who launched the puck in the back of net to put the Jr. Warriors on the board. Shortly after, Lukas Steele fed Hallock from behind the net, who tipped in the second goal of the game. Nine seconds later Ellis Schnurr fired a lazer from the back end and Dylan Abel was quick to pick up the rebound and net the third goal of the game. The Jr. Warriors energy kept up in the third with defencemen Liam Eddelston getting his groove on across the red line, holding the Dogs from breaking out. The quick hands of Steele nailed the fourth goal of the game, assisted by Rowan Smith. Not wanting to give up any ground defencemen, Adam Jeffrey and Luke Jackson stayed tough on the boards keeping the pressure in the Dogs house. Sealing the deal short - handed was, Nick Wagner knocking the peanut butter of the top shelf, with a beautiful shot! With his focus, calmness and steady glides net minder Brendan Sipple skated away with 6-0 shut out!!

Sunday vs. Burlington Bull Digs Red

The Jr. Warriors had their home opener Sunday afternoon with a 5:00P.M puck drop at Allman Arena. The puck dropped and the boys were off to a shaky start giving up the first goal. Abel jumped on the ice with one mission and responded quickly lighting the board up for the Warriors. Zach Scrimgeours' grinding offence, netted the second goal with a wrap around from a rebound assisted by Jordan Keane and Schnurr. Burlington responded with one of their own ending the first at 2's. The second period was a bumpy ride for the Jr. Warriors but they were able to take the lead ending the period, with Hallock picking up a rebound from Keane. The boys were back in the third period with Abel firing a rocket in the top corner to give breathing room for the Jr. Warriors. Nick Wagner teed up at the point with Owen Chadwick snagging the first rebound with pressure in the area in blue and Hallock netting the second rebound. Liam Ollson's wheels and shots were on point in the third netting two goals for the Jr. Warriors giving them a 7-3 win over the Bull Dogs.
