Minor Peewee Rep Warriors Continue to Battle!
The ‘07 Minor Peewee Rep team, sponsored by Royal LePage Hiller Realty continued their AA playdown battle with two more games against London Jr. Knights Green this weekend.  Stratford came away with a tie and a win, giving them seven points and London one point in the eight point series.

Saturday night the boys played host to the visiting Knights and came away with one point in a 3-3 tie.  A slow start left the Warriors continually playing catch up throughout the game. London struck first with an early goal, but Stratford answered back to close out the first period with goal from Blair Stokes, assisted by Colin Schultz.  The Knights capitalized on a power play opportunity to take a one goal lead in the second, but again the Warriors tied it off a shot from Grady Murphy, assisted by Carter Petrie. Another power play goal for London gave them the lead for the the third time in the game, but Stokes was able to tie it again to close out the third, assisted by Ryan Gansevles and Schultz.  Five minutes of overtime play resulted in a 3-3 tie. Ryan McGill was solid in net for Stratford throughout the game.

Game #4 of the series went on a stormy Sunday night in London.  Netminder Zack Irvin was tested early multiple times and shut the door on the London attack. Petrie opened the scoring for Stratford early in the first on a turn over from London.  Strong work on the back check from Zach Schultz, Austin Musselman, Rylan Hall, Jaxson Biernes, Blake Hodgson and Aaron Green kept their snipers off the scoresheet. Early in the second Murphy netted a second goal for Stratford off a feed from C.Schultz.  Irvin held strong against a late surge from London, including a breakaway opportunity, giving the Warriors the 2-0 win.
