The ‘07 Minor Peewee Rep team, sponsored by Royal LePage Hiller Realty opened their season with a win on home ice against the London Jr Mustangs White.
Netminder Ryan McGill was in charge between the pipes, working hard to hold off the Mustangs. After a scoreless first period Ryan McGee put the Warriors on the board early in the second assisted by Dawson White and Nathan Siebert. The Mustangs briefly tied the game but Colin Schultz answered back moments later giving the Warriors a 2-1 lead to close out the second. Third period action saw the Mustangs tie the game for a second time but eventually the Warriors pulled ahead with goals from Blair Stokes, Schultz and Austin Musselman and helpers from Rylan Hall, Grady Murphy, McGee and Ryan Gansevles. Strong defence from Jaxson Berines and Aaron Green coupled with McGill robbing a Mustang sniper at the 1:26 mark in the game gave Stratford a 5-2 victory.
