Roundup of Rare Weekday Games at Home
The Stratford Canadian Tire Major Bantam Warrior Rep team hosted St. Thomas and London Jr. Knights White for a couple of rare weekday games at the Allman.

The Warriors welcomed the St. Thomas Jr. Stars for a Monday night game. This game represented the Warriors’ fourth game in four nights. Cole Lewis, from Nick Houben and Jacob Hall and then Hall from Houben and Lewis put the Warriors up 2-0 a mere 5 minutes into the game. As has been the case too often this season, the Warriors’ opponent stormed back with 2 of their own in the next 5 minutes to tie the game at 2-2 after the opening frame.

The Warriors scored the lone goal of the second period on Hall’s second of the game, this time from Tyler Wagler and took a lead into the final period.

The Jr. Stars scored twice on the power play in the first 5 minutes of the period to take their first lead of the game. With 4 minutes remaining, Caleb Arent knotted the game at 4-4 with an assist credited to Nole Musselman. Just 2 minutes later, the Jr. Stars scored what would be the winner on their fifth power play of the period.

On Wednesday, the Warriors were shut-out by the London Jr. Knights White team in the Warriors' 5th game in 6 nights.

NOTES: On Monday, the Jr. Stars had nine power play opportunities in the game, while the Warriors had only two power play chances. The game was very fast and entertaining, in what coaches from both sides felt was a ‘good, clean game of hockey’. Wagler, Hall, Arent, and Zach McCann were penalized 4 minutes each in the game. Unfortunately, the  Warriors beat a path to the box for roughly eight straight minutes with stoppages at the 13:19, 10:30, 9:40, and 7:20 of the third to usher Stratford skaters to the penalty box (and then again at 3:20). The Warriors travel to London to face the GLHA Purple team on Friday and then close out the Seeded schedule when they host Kitchener on Sunday. Game time is 6:30pm on Sunday at the Allman Arena.
