Sunday in London four third period goals broke a deadlock with London shortly after the home town Mustang White had tied things up sending Stratford on its way to a 6-2 victory. Scoring for the Warriors were Owen Singer with two, Maverick Mulder with the game winner, Braydon Tinning with a shorthanded marker, Carter Musselman and Ryan Adriaanse. Luke Gaylor had three assists, Patrick Holloway two helpers while Carter Musselman, Zach Carman, Aiden McMann, Will Schlotzhauer and Singer had one each.
Saturday in St. Thomas the Warriors spent much of the game shorthanded but goaltender Nolan Traynor was Stratford’s best penalty killer on the ice stopping 22 shots in total in a 2-0 shutout win over the Stars. Carman and Holloway had first period goals in the win with Carter Musselman, McMann, Mulder and Singer helping to set them up.
Last Wednesday in Brantford the home town 99ers turned a 1-0 third period deficit into a 3-1 win with three third period tallies, one into the empty net to seal the victory and send the Warriors home with just their third league loss of the season. Caleb Musselman scored on a first period break away after Tinning sent him in alone on a feed from inside the Stratford blue line.
The 12-3-1 Warriors next action is a trip to Sarnia this coming Sunday before breaking for the holidays.
