Stratford Atom Rep Warriors, travelled to Sarnia on Sunday, January 25. The Warriors Atom Rep team, is sponsored by Perth Auto Dismantlers. Carter Keating played in net on Sunday against the Sting!
Stratford started off the game with a few penalties but quickly fought back to get back into play. Sarnia took advantage and scored on their power play. At 1:34 left in the period, another goal by the Sting hit the net.
The second period saw Stratford getting another penalty at 13:25. Keating blocked and shuffled amongst the players, to keep the puck from crossing the line. Griffin Harvey made a hard hot from the point and then Ty Jackson poked it in at 7:56 to make the score 2-1. At 6:19 in the second, Cam Munro blasted one from the circle to tie the score 2-2. Sarnia followed with another goal at 2:21. Harvey did a repeat with an up close shot on net, finished by Jake Schultz to tie the score again 3-3.
The third period was uneventful until near the end. Sarnia crossed the puck across the line at 4:09 to make the score 4-3. With 1:56 left, Reid Morris took a quick wrist shot on net and scored to make the score even, to finish the game. The Atom Reps fought hard and worked together, to stay in the game until the end. The Warriors took the tie and made the long trip home.
