Over this past weekend, The Royal LePage Hiller Reality Stratford Warriors Minor Peewee team participated in the Stratford Early Bird Tournament. Playing 4 games in the round robin, they went 3-1 to advance to the finals against London Purple Mustangs. It was a nail biting game with going almost 2 periods without a goal from either team. London scored first at 6:07 with a scramble in front of the net.
Stratford answered back from a goal at 4:22 from #11 Nathan Slaght. We would stay fighting back and forth till the buzzer went and we were going to over time!! With only 0:11 seconds left in overtime, #9 Rylan Deboeck scored from a pass from #6 Tessa Burdett to win the game! Both goalies played a great game, London saving 23 shots and our #1 Ethan Walters saving 26 shots!
