The
Royal LePage Hiller Realty Minor Peewee Rep Warriors came up short against the
GLHA Jr. Mustangs White this past weekend.
The Warriors knew that this would be one of their biggest challenges in
the second half of the season, as this London team is currently sitting close
in the standings right behind Stratford.
Stratford was able to get the first goal on the board at the beginning
of the second period from Nathan Slaght, assisted by Taten Mikel.
London was able to answer back with three goals of their own. Stratford tried battling back, scoring a goal with 1:01 left in the third when Slaght added his second of the game assisted by Owen Bridges and Bronwyn Langis. Stratford tried to continue with the extra attacker, but London secured the 4th goal on the empty net making the final score 4-2. Stratford will be preparing for their upcoming busy weekend when they face Hamilton who is currently in first in the standings on Friday night, and a double header in Burlington facing the Royal and Green teams.
