Minor Peewee Rep Warriors Wrap Up First Round of Playdowns in 3 Games
The Royal LePage Hiller Realty Minor Peewee Rep Stratford Warriors concluded their first round of playdowns against the Burlington Cougars Royal Saturday.  The Warriors took the long road trip to Burlington hoping to end the series in one game, avoiding another double header.  The Warriors again dominated the Cougars in the 10-1 win.

.  In the first period Colton Brenzil started the Warriors scoring.  Brenzil was assisted by Owen Bridges and Cole Hishon.  Brenzil and Hishon continued to support the next goal when Bronwyn Langis added the Warriors second of the game.  With 46 seconds left in the period Hishon continued to be on fire when he scored the third goal.  He was supported by Nathan Slaght and Langis.

 

The second period the Warriors added the fourth goal on the power play when Bridges scored, assisted by Tessa Burdett and Boden Lyons.  Langis scored the fifth goal of the game when she went upstairs high glove, she was assisted by Evan White-Roy.  Owen Hunt shot a rocket from the point “top cheese”on the power play, to give the Warriors the sixth goal of the game.  Hunt was assisted by Hishon.  The Warrior’s ended the second period with a goal from Lyons, assisted by White-Roy and Rylan DeBoeck. 

 

The third period Slaght scored unassisted to give the Warriors their eighth goal of the game.  Bridges added the ninth goal, assisted by Burdett.  The Cougars were able to add their lone goal nearing the end of the third.  The Warriors answered back adding the tenth goal with 39 seconds left when Burdett set up Lyons.  The Warrior’s eagerly await to find out who their next opponent will be in the playdowns.  How about that 42 year old Zamboni driver….
