Warriors Drop Heartbreaker to Woodstock
It was the one that got away.
The Dunny's Source for Sports Warriors Minor Peewee MD team hosted the Woodstock Junior Navy Vets, October 20. Woodstock jumped out to an early 2-0 lead but the Warriors cut the deficit late in the first.

Blake McIntosh's point shot found its way through the traffic out front with a minute to go in the opening frame and two seconds left in the penalty. Caellum Parsons and Wesley Patterson picked up assists.
Alex Robinson jumped on a loose puck out front to tie it at two midway through the second. Reed Bowles and Henry Flanagan assisted. Unfortunately, Woodstock scored to regain the lead with 3:23 remaining in the second. The Warriors refused to give up and it paid off thirty seconds later. Robinson's shot was stopped but Cook was there to jam home the rebound and knot it at three after two periods. Affiliate goalie Henry Tuer came in to play the third, replacing Jake Taylor who made several great saves for the Warriors.
In the third Will McKee fed Cook down low and he found Robinson out front and he converted his second of the night to give the Warriors a 4-3 lead. Woodstock tied it up midway through the frame and then found the five hole from the high slot to take the lead with just over a minute remaining. They added an empty netter with six seconds left to take it 6-4.
The Warriors are back in action November 3 when they host Burlington Bulldogs Red at 4 p.m. at the Allman Arena.
