The ‘07 Major Peewee Rep team, sponsored by Scotiabank earned four points this weekend with a win at home and a win on the road.
Saturday night the Warriors skated away with a 6-1 win against the Jr Mustangs Purple at home. Ryan McGill was rock solid in net, holding off their snipers and only allowing one goal despite a solid effort from the Mustang attack. Aaron Green, Zack Schultz, Blake Hodgson and Austin Musselman worked to the blue line to limit scoring opportunities throughout the game. After a quiet first period Stratford’s offence went to work with a wrap around from Nathan Siebert, assisted by Rylan Hall, a tip in from Ryan Gansevles, assisted by Carter Petrie, a goal top shelf from Petrie, assisted by Siebert, another tip in from Blair Stokes, assisted by Grady Murphy and Petrie, and two goals from Colin Schultz with one assisted by Gansevles.
Sunday night the boys were on the road to take on the Burlington Cougars White. Zack Irvin was on duty between the pipes and he was a steady force in the 9-2 win. The boys worked hard with each team member making it onto the scoresheet!
