Peewee Rep Warriors Drop One On The Road
Submitted By Kate Treischl on Sunday, November 24, 2019
In their first game on the AA side the Warriors hit the highway to take on the Burlington Cougars Blue Sunday night.

In the first period net minder Ryan McGill held off the Burlington snipers with multiple glove saves in end to end action and the opening moments of the second saw Stratford take a brief lead with Blair Stokes firing one in off a feed from Carter Petrie. However, moments later Burlington would not only tie the game but the pull ahead with a 4-1 lead. Stratford began to chip away with Petrie capitalizing on a feed from Stokes making it 4-2. With 0.4 seconds left on the clock in the second, Petrie fired in another one assisted by Nathan Siebert and Dawson White putting Stratford within one. In the third Burlington nabbed their fifth goal but again Stratford responded with a goal from Grady Murphy, assisted by Petrie and Colin Schultz making it 5-4. Despite decent pressure from the Warriors, Burlington slid in an empty netter for the 6-4 victory.
