Peewee Rep Warriors Continue to Battle
The ‘07 Major Peewee Rep team, sponsored by Scotiabank locked down two points this weekend with two ties and one loss.

Thursday night the Warriors hosted the London Jr Knights Green at the RBC. Netminder Ryan McGill made multiple huge saves including a massive pad save to close out the first and a hot glove save in the second to hold off the London snipers.  Stratford got on the board first with two goals in the second period. Nathan Sibert fired one in assisted by Colin Schultz and call ups Cole Hishon slid one in assisted by Colton Brenzil and Liam Ollson to give Stratford a 2-0 lead however, London managed to tie up the game in the third.

Saturday afternoon the team braved the storm for a tilt against the Hamilton Huskies Red in Hamilton.  Zach Irvin and the boys worked hard to keep the home team off the scoresheet. Big defense from Rylan Hall, Austin Musselman, Zach Schultz, Aaron Green and Ryan Gansevles held of the Huskies.  Irvin shut down a last minute breakaway from Hamilton to hold them off with a 0-0 tie.

Sunday it was another game on the road versus the Waterloo Wolves.  McGill was on duty between the pipes and stood tall helping Stratford grab an early 2-0 lead.  Stratford’s first goal came late in the first with a shot from Griffin McGregor, assisted by Carter Petrie.  And another later when McGregor fed one to Ryan McGee. Unfortunately, the Wolves battled back and a late power play goal gave them the win.
