9 games into the season the All-Equip Repair Stratford PeeWee MD Warriors find themselves thick in the middle of a season where they find themselves giving too little too late to make the difference in games in the tough Central/East division.
The Warriors travelled to Burlington to face the Burlington Bulldogs White on October 26th only to be blanked 3-0 in a game where the boys could not find the back of the net.
The Warriors hosted the undefeated Brantford 99ers Sunday October 27th at the Dufferin arena. The boys needed to prove to the home crowd that they could compete with any team in the league. Down 1-0 after 1, Liam Olsen sent a beautiful feed to Rowan Smith who wristed a beauty over the Brantford netminder tying things up 1-1. The Warriors got into penalty trouble into the second and gave up 2 going down 3-1 after 2. The Warriors gave up another into the 3rd while Spencer Murphy gave the Warriors a late lift too little too late 99ers 4, Warriors 2.
The Warriors hosted the St. Catherines Hurricanes November 3rd at Dufferin looking to propel their offence to new heights. They did just that. Dylan Abel opened the scoring early in the first and the Warriors did not look back. Back and on the mend Zach Scrimgeour netted his first of the season followed by a pinching Adam Jeffrey who took the puck for a wrap around goal. Dylan Abel netted his second followed by 2 from Owen Chadwick, one a beautiful crossbar down ringer, another from Zach Scrimgeour, Spencer Murphy, Rowan Smith and a wrister from the point from Luke Jackson for an 11-0 final and a boat load of confidence for a weary Warrior tribe.
The Warriors head to Orilla Nov 8-10 for their third tourney of the season and look to hold on to the high they needed and deserved from Sunday night.
