Warriors Sail Through Playoff undefeated at 11-0-1.
The All Equip Repair PeeWee MD Warriors started the second phase of their season in January with a new attitude, a winning attitude. After a mediocre regular season, the boys found themselves in tier two of the Alliance’s East Central Division. They needed to prove to themselves they could dominate, and they did just that.
In the last three games that round out the playoff the warriors kept their winning ways alive. A 5-1 domination of the Burlington Bulldogs Red with goals from Liam Ollson off an Adam Jeffrey point shot, then Quinn Hyde, 2 from Dylan Abel and another from Ollson. Then came a massive come from behind 4-3 win over the Waterloo Wolves Black Friday evening with one from Rowan Smith, Dylan Abel and two from a healthy Zach Scrimgeour including the 4-3 game winner late in the third. Most recently the Warriors handed a 6-2 spoiling of the Bulldogs Red again at the RBC completing the undefeated post season. Tensions ran hot as the teams, knowing they would probably meet in their playdown took turns grappling in the corners and antagonizing each other resulting in major penalties in the first, each team asserting intimidation tactics looking forward to their playdown series. Goals came from Liam Ollson set up by Ellis Schnuur, Jared Smith from Owen Chadwick, Quinn Hyde from Adam Jeffrey, Owen Chadwick and rounded out by Liam Ollson and Ellis Schnuur set up by Rowan Smith. The Warriors impressive playoff run has set up a first to 4 point divisional semifinal playdown against the 4th place Bulldogs starting Wednesday March 11.
