On Sunday the Stratford Warriors Minor Bantam hosted the Burlington Jr Cougars at the Duff for the opening game of the second half of the season. The Warriors started the game in high gear and never let off the throttle.
The Warriors played most of the game in the Jr Cougar’s end and worked hard for a shot count of 49-10. The Jr Cougar’s goal tender did well and only allowed 6 Warriors pucks to reach the back of the net as Stratford’s Koen Gerber only allowed 1 Burlington goal. Scoring for Stratford was; Mark Pyzowski with a Hat Trick (3), Jericho McNichol, Dylan Fischer and Cole Humphrey with assists going to Colten Kuepfer (2), Jackson Campbell, Jericho McNichol, Mark Pyzowski and Cole Humphrey.
On Tuesday night the Warriors squared off against the Waterloo Wolves. The high tempo game saw lots of action at both ends of Dufferin’s ice pad and some interesting calls by the officials. Stratford worked hard and scored 3 great goals but fell to the Wolves 6-3. Scoring for Stratford was Dylan Fischer, Jackson Campbell and Mark Pyzowski with assists going to Quinn Appel and Ben Fizell.
