Pair of Heartbreakers
On Sunday evening Cherry Buslines Minor Bantam team hosted the Sarnia Sting again.  A fast and physical game saw both teams battling for position but all shots denied by both goalies until late in the first period where one snuck passed the Stratford goaltender.

As battles continued Owen Gaylor would make a rush to get in position for a shot that found the back of Sarnia’s net to tie up and then Nate Framst would grind into slot to net the go ahead goal.  Later in the third frame Sarnia behind 2-1 came on strong and grabbed two goals to defeat the Warriors 3-2.  Assists on goals Mark Pyzowski and Owen Gaylor.

Monday night the Warriors travelled to London to face off against the Jr Mustangs (white).  The Warriors displayed excellent positioning and kept the puck from the Stratford netminder for most of the first period but a scramble in front of Stratford’s net found the Warriors down one goal.  The Warriors immediately applied pressure on the Mustangs and with 3 seconds left in the first period Cole Humphrey’s back hander tied up the game 1-1.  In the second period a tipped shot from a face off in Stratford’s end went in and the Warriors found themselves down by one again.  Mark Pyzowski would respond with a snipe to tie the game 2-2.  The Warriors and Mustangs battled back and forth but an empty net goal would finish the match 4-2 for London.  Assists on goals were Jackson Campbell, Owen Gaylor and Jericho McNichol.
