The Stratford Warriors Canadian Tire Major Bantam Rep took on the GLHA Jr Mustangs White on Sunday, Sept 22 in London at Bostwick arena. The Warriors came out with a purpose! The 1st period was dominated by the Warriors, with a physical, fast and aggressive style play. This resulted in a bunch of shots on goal and time in the offensive end but the end of the 1st was 0-0. Halfway through the 2nd period Danny Van Straaten took a pass from behind the net and ripped it home to make it 1-0 Warriors. The Warriors continued to take it to the Mustangs into the 3rd period. Owen Holloway takes a nice pass from Noah Hoffer and snipes it past the goalie to make it a 2-0 game. The Mustangs would get a couple quick goals within a minute of play to tie it up. And that would be the final 2-2. This was a hard, fast, physical game by the Warriors and a good sign of things to come!
