Thanksgiving Weekend
By Hugh and Denise Pearce

The Stratford Warriors Canadian Tire Bantam Rep team took on the Cambridge Hawks Friday October 11th at 8:30pm in Galt.
The 1st period was a back and forth battle with lots of shots, hits and the warriors dominant pk killing off two penalties. Thomas Sheldon in net for the 1st made some key saves to keep it a 0-0 game going into the 2nd. Liam Parsons would take over in net and would be very busy as well. The 2nd period was the same intense battle as the 1st but saw Cambridge get a bounce in our end and make it 1-0. The 3rd period a couple miscues would allow Cambridge go up 3-0, and that would be the final score. Overall the Warriors should be extremely proud of their play and put together one of their best collective outings thus far. With a busy weekend the Warriors take on London Green Saturday 8pm at the Rotary Complex and then travel to Hamilton Sunday for a afternoon game. Let’s go Warriors keep working hard!

The Stratford Warriors Canadian Tire Bantam Reps would play against London jr Knights at the Rotary Complex Saturday October 12 at 8pm.
The Warriors came out and would strike 1st, with a beautiful goal from Ethan Dam. To make it 1-0 Warriors! The knight would get one back to make it 1-1. But the Warriors would fight back and Zachary Richardson would fly past the defender and put it top shelf to make it 2-1 Warriors at the end of the 1st. The 2nd period would see some very questionable penalties to say the least and the Knights would use this advantage and go up 3-2. The 3rd period the Warriors never gave up on themselves and would keep playing hard but would go down 4-2 as a final. Thomas Sheldon was solid in net and made some timely saves to keep us in the game.
Great Effort boys and on to play the Huskies Sunday October 13 in Hamilton.
Don’t eat too much turkey!

The Stratford Warriors Canadian Tire Bantam Rep team made the trek to Hamilton to take on the Huskies on Sunday October 13th. Hamilton would jump out to the early lead, scoring 2 in the 1st. The 2nd period the Warriors dominated the play and took it to the Huskies! Ethan Pearce forechecked hard and forced a turn over and put it out front for Kaden Brame to rip it home to make it 2-1! The start of the 3rd the Huskies would get a lucky bounce and would go up 3-1. Near the 7 minute mark Ryan Middegaal let a bullet go from the point and it would deflect of a Husky defender and find the back of the net, to make it a 1 goal game again! The Warriors would continue to pressure the Huskies. The Warriors pulled Liam Parsons after a terrific performance to get the extra attacker in the dying minute and would have a bunch of scoring chances, but would come up short.
This is a game to be very proud of Warriors!
Next up the for the Warriors is the Bradford Tournament next weekend.
Go Warriors Go!
Happy Thanksgiving
