Won for the boys
The weekend had two home games for the Canadian Tire Major Bantam Warriors.

Saturday January 12th vs Burlington Cougars White

The Canadian Tire Major Bantams had an early penalty kill in the game Saturday against Burlington Cougars White. They got down by a goal from that and things kept going against them to end the period down by 3.  The boys came out looking sharper for the second with Danny Van Straaten getting a goal early to make it 3-1.  In the end Burlington played a great game and we lost 5-1.

Sunday January 13th vs Hamilton Huskies White

After Saturday's loss, the Canadian Tire Major Bantam Warriors came out with something to prove on Sunday at the Allman vs the Huskies.  The boys got an early power play goal with Danny Van Straaten stick handling his way around multiple defenders to score!  Shortly after Karson Stokke was in the right place at the right time to send it to the back of the net from the high slot.  Things were heating up between these two teams and Nate Williams speeded out of the box to grab the puck and score to get us up 3-0!

The second period saw the Huskies get one past goal keeper Thomas Sheldon to make it 3-1.  The defense were in fine form this game and we saw a lot of great penalty kills from Garrett Spahiu, Ryan Middegaal, Wes Duiker, Luke Heisz and Williams.

The third period started with Noah Hoffer getting a pass up to Sam Jeffrey for a break away goal!  Tensions were rising and things getting chippy but the Warriors kept their cool and continued to dominate the play.  Kaeden Brame and Owen Holloway had a beauty give and go from a sweet outlet pass and Brame put it in to get us a 3 goal lead.  The Huskies scored again but then Sheldon stayed composed against a few more Huskies offensive moves and made a number of saves.  Van Straaten walked in and fired a SHOT to make it 6-2 near the end of the game.  The team really wanted a win here for their boys who have been out for the weekend and they did it!  Dedicated to #3 and #15.
