Series wrap up against Mustangs Purple
By Hugh Pearce A tough battle every game but Mustangs Purple edged out the Bantam Warriors to move on in the playoffs.

The Stratford Warriors Canadian Tire Bantam Rep team played game 2 against Mustangs Purple. 
The Warriors would get on the board first with a beauty goal from Ethan Dam after taking a great feed from Noah Hoffer to make it 1-0! The rest of the period was a hard fought battle back and forth and would go into the 2nd period still 1-0 Warriors. The 2nd period would see the Mustangs score 3 unanswered goals to send the game into the 3rd 3-1 for the Mustangs. In the 3rd Kaden Brame would drive home a rebound off Noah Hoffer's shot to make it a 3-2 game. However the Warriors would continue to drive hard but couldn't even it up. The mustangs would get a empty net goal and make it a 4-2 final. 
 
In Game 3, the Warriors looked to even up the series with a win! In the 1st neither team could find the back of the net, Thomas Sheldon turned aside a bunch of rubber to keep the game at 0-0. In the 2nd the Mustangs would strike first and get a short handed goal. The Warriors would quickly respond with a goal from Ethan Pearce assisted by Karson Stokke. The Warriors would keep pressing and Owen Holloway would give a pass to Kaden Brame who would find the back of the net to make it 2-1 Warriors! The Mustangs would equalize and send it to the 3rd period 2-2. In the 3rd period Danny Van Straaten would score on the powerplay to make it 3-2. The Mustangs would tie it up again. But Danny Van Straaten would score the game winner to make it a 4-3 final Warriors!! The series is even! Great work boys!
 
In Game 4, the Mustangs would score first. Both teams were showing that it was going to be a tight game. In the 2nd period Owen Holloway would out work the Mustangs defender and beat the goalie to tie it up 1-1. The Warriors continued to work hard, but couldn't solve the Mustangs goalie again. And the Mustangs would get one more to make it a 2-1 final Mustangs. 
 
In Game 5, the Mustangs came out and scored the first goal again. But then the Warriors woke up and took over the game! Ethan Dam would get the Warriors on the board with a sweet goal! Before the end of the 2nd, Ethan Pearce would out muscle the Mustangs defender and get in on a breakaway and pull a backhand deke top corner to make it 2-1 Warriors! In the 3rd Owen Holloway would bury a pass from Kaden Brame out front to make it 3-1 Stratford. In the dying minutes the Mustangs would pull their goalie and pin the Warriors in their end, with Thomas Sheldon staying strong and keeping the puck out of the net. Ethan Pearce would get a break and chip the puck out of the Warriors end and skate it down to the empty net to end it with a final score of 4-1 Warriors!!! The series is even again! 
 
In Game 6, it was the Warriors who got on the board first with a redirection from Ethan Dam to make it 1-0. The Mustangs would even it up before the end of the period. In the 2nd period, the Mustangs would score again to make it 2-1. Shortly after, Owen Holloway would score off a blocked shot from Luke Heisz from the point to even it up 2-2. Luke Heisz would score quickly after with a blast from the point to make it 3-2! Liam Parsons was facing a ton of shots and keeping the Warriors in it. However the Mustangs would get 2 more goals to make it 4-3 Mustangs. After some push back from the Warriors the Mustangs would score a empty netter to make it a 5-3 final. 
The Warriors are now off to the Playoffs to face Burlington Cougars Green in the upcoming series. Lets go Warriors, play like we all know you can!
