4-Point Weekend
Submitted By Brent Tinning on Sunday, October 27, 2019
Written by Maureen Whitehead. The SMHA Midget Jr Warriors remain undefeated in league play after two wins on the weekend.

On Saturday night in Stratford, the Warriors scored 2 shorthanded goals in a 5-1 win over the St. Thomas Jr Stars.  After a scoreless first period, Jared LeSouder buried his first of 2 goals on the night, assisted by Riley Mathieson. Tate Gaylor scored, shorthanded, assisted by Luke Gaylor.  In the 3rd period, LeSounder found the back of the net again while on the penalty kill.  Adam Windsor and Aiden McMann also had goals in the win, with assists going to Patrick Holloway, Ben Wyatt, Carter Musselman and Luke Gaylor.

In Cambridge on Sunday night, three power play goals were the difference in a 4-1 win.  Cal Ferguson opened the scoring, assisted by Tate Gaylor and Carter Musselman.  With the game tied in the 3rd period, Noah Rusen-Steele scored the eventual game winner, assisted by Jared LeSouder and McMann.  Jack Whitehead and LeSouder rounded out the scoring, both with unassisted goals.

The Warriors play host to the Woodstock Jr Navy Vets on Wednesday night.
