Warriors Keep Rolling
Written by Maureen Whitehead.  The SMHA Jr Warriors Midget team beat the Woodstock Jr Navy Vets 8-1 on Wednesday night in Stratford.

Callan Ferguson fired a shot from the point that went over the goalie’s shoulder to open the scoring for the Warriors.  Assisting on the goal were Tate Gaylor and Patrick Holloway.  Jack Whitehead then feathered a pass through the defence and on to the stick of Holloway who made no mistake putting it away.  Jared LeSouder also assisted on the goal.  Whitehead tapped in a rebound off a shot from the point by Aiden McMann to make it 3-0.  Noah Rusen-Steele assisted.  The 4th Warriors goal went to Carter Musselman who scored a backhander after beating both defenders.  He was assisted by Ferguson.  McMann, in close, and Gaylor, from the point, had the next two goals with assists going to Musselman, Adam Windsor, and Braydon Tinning.   Holloway scored his second of the night, shorthanded and unassisted.  The final goal was scored by LeSouder who carried the puck from Woodstock’s blue line and beat both defencemen before sliding it in the net to make it 8-1.

Next up for the Warriors is the Silver Stick tournament this weekend.
