Two Road Wins
Written by Maureen Whitehead.  The SMHA Jr Warriors Midget team hit the road on Sunday afternoon for an evening game in Sarnia.

After a scoreless first period, the Sting scored a shorthanded goal in the 2nd to take the lead. Stratford answered with a power play goal from an Aiden McMann point shot. Luke Gaylor then scored the game winner, assisted by Jack Whitehead and Caleb Musselman. Despite some offensive pressure by the home team in the 3rd period, Warriors goalie Carson Knott kept the Sting off the scoreboard, and Stratford came home with the 2-1 win.

On Monday night in Kitchener, the Warriors were victorious in a penalty-filled game.  Stratford struck first, midway through the first period, when Caleb Musselman scored, assisted by Luke Gaylor and Callan Ferguson.  Patrick Holloway made it 2-0 in the 2nd, assisted by Jared LeSouder.  The Jr Rangers scored late in the 2nd period and kept pressing for the equalizer, but were stoned by Warriors goalie Kyle Powers.  For the second night in a row, Stratford won a 2-1 road game and now sit in 2nd place in the league, 3 points behind the London Jr Knights with 3 games in hand.
