4- Point Weekend
Written by Maureen Whitehead.  The Stratford Jr Warriors Midget team played their final 2 league games on the weekend, ending the season in 1st place with an impressive 27-0-3 record.

The Warriors travelled to Burlington on Saturday afternoon for a rematch with the Jr Cougars.  Burlington took a 1-0 lead again, but Adam Windsor tied it up on the power play, assisted by Luke and Tate Gaylor. Caleb Musselman gave the visitors the lead to end the first period. Windsor and Luke Gaylor assisted. The score was 5-2 after the 2nd, after goals from Callan Ferguson (2) and Ben Wyatt.  Musselman and Jack Whitehead assisted on the goals.  Eric Roes, Riley Mathieson and Patrick Holloway scored in the final frame to give the Warriors the 8-2 win. Wyatt, Carter Musselman, and Jared LeSouder had the 3rd period assists and Carson Knott registered the win in net.  
 
At home on Sunday night, the Warriors defeated the Hamilton Huskies 5-0.  Cohen LeSouder had two 1st period markers, with assists going to Tate Gaylor, Caleb Musselman and Adam Windsor.  Jared LeSouder and Windsor scored in the 2nd period.   Holloway, Ferguson, Musselman and Luke Gaylor assisted.  Tate Gaylor, on a 2-on-0 in the 3rd period, passed to Holloway who scored to make it 5-0.  Kyle Powers had the shutout.
 
The Warriors have a first round playoff bye and will now await their 2nd round opponent.
