February 5 & 6 return to play
U12 Warriors give London Knights White their first loss of the season in a weekend split.

On Saturday, after a 4 week covid shut down, the U12 warriors travelled to Sarnia to take on the Sting.  Stratford got off to a good start and went up 1-0 on a tip in by Ethan Schmidt from a Liam Micks point shot in the first period.  Sarnia tied it up midway through the second on a scrabble off a face off.  Sarnia then scored the game winner midway through the third on a deke.  Despite the loss Stratford out played the Sting and controlled the play for most of the game and hit multiple goal posts and crossbars that helped Sarnia to a victory.  Bryson Boyne made some great saves in net.

On Sunday, the U12 Warriors played host the the undefeated London Knights White.  Stratford was stoked and carried that momentum into the first shift of the game where they set the tone.  Stratford controlled the play again although scoreless through 2 periods, outshooting London 13-2.  Early in the 3rd Stratford scored on a tip by Luke Hishon on a Ethan Schmidt shot that was eventually called off as a high stick.  The Warriors didn't give up and Hishon got 1 that did count on a rebound from Schmidt with Owen Martin also assisting.
Mac Munroe made a fantastic save on a London breakaway midway through the 3rd to hold the 1-0 lead.  Stratford kept the foot on the gas and ran the clock down, handing London their first loss of the season in a well deserved win.  All 9 forwards and 6 defensemen played a terrific game and should be proud of their efforts, and the result!
