Stratford Upsets London Mustang White
Stratford Warriors U13, sponsored by Scotiabank Stratford, grabbed a big win over the London Mustangs White, on Saturday, November 11, 2021 at the Stratford Rotary Arena.
At 6:48 in the first period, Caden Ollson started the points on the scoreboard. London answered back 3 minutes later to tie it up.
In the second period , the Warriors were down by a goal, at the 10 minute mark, with London gaining the lead.
In the third period, Stratford worked hard to tie it up. Nick McClymont scored at 11:38 to even the score and get Stratford back into the game.
It looked like it was going to be a tie game, but with only a few seconds left in the third period, Griffin Harvey stormed the net on a breakaway, and then fired a slap shot past the Mustang White goalie and through the pipes at the 00.01 second mark.
The U13 boys celebrated the shot by clearing the bench and congratulating Harvey on the game winning play.
The next game action is on Sunday, November 13 in Sarnia.
