Taylor earns Shutout on the road
On Saturday, the U14 Stratford Warriors travelled to St Thomas to play the Stars for the first time this season.

The game was scoreless going into the second period. Both Stratford and St. Thomas racked up multiple penalty minutes. Mason Bauld opened the scoring on a power play after receiving a pass from Colton Brenzil and Ty Wheeler putting the Warriors on the board. Brenzil netted his first of the game in the third period, unassisted. Owen Bridges followed it up shortly thereafter, assisted by Blake Lalande and Charlie Holloway, giving the Warriors a 3-0 lead. Cole Hishon, Rylan DeBoeck and Timothy Kraayenbrink all contributed to the offense throughout the game. Cam Parsons and Owen Hunt were aggressive defensively, helping Goalie Jake Taylor earn the shut out.

On Sunday, the Warriors were back at home to face off against their rival, the London Jr Knights White. Down 3  players, Stratford battled hard to keep London 'trapped' outside the zone. Blue liners Henry Flanagan, Casen deGraaf and Taten Mikel proved Stratfords defensive strength. London managed to get through and net their first of the game against strong netminder Ethan Walters. Stratfords Ty Wheeler answered back in the second period to tie the game at one a piece. London scored midway through the second period giving them a 2-1 lead. Colton Brenzil was taken down infront of the London net, earning Stratford a penalty shot. The London goaltender was able to keep Brenzil's shot out of their net. London secured their win to 3-1 with an empty netter in the last seconds of the game.

Stratford will be on the road again next weekend where they will face the Brantford 99ers on Saturday night, and the Kitchener Jr Rangers Sunday afternoon.
