U16 Warriors escape Steeltown with a Tie!
The U16 Stratford Warriors were on the road in Hamilton to take on the Huskies on Saturday Nov. 19, 2022.

Stratford was looking for a little redemption after a tough loss to Hamilton in the Stratford Silver Stick Regional Semifinal.  The first period saw each team earn a 4 minute power play but neither could capitalize, keeping the scoreboard blank.  Another 4 minute power play for the Warriors produced some great chances but nothing slid past the line.  Hamilton used the momentum from killing off the penalties to notch a power play goal mid frame that got past Stratford netminder Brody Borszcz.  The Hamilton keeper was in top form, stopping a great chance from Carter Petrie off a Huskie turnover to keep the score at 1-0 Hamilton after two.  The Warriors pushed the pace in the third and forced the home forecheck into another penalty.  This time the Stratford power play moved the puck well and Ryan McGee (A - Rylan Hall) snuck a shot under the arm of the Hamilton keeper.  A quiet inadvertent whistle and a good goal call threw the home supporters into a frenzy and some into the hallway.  Both teams managed a few chances, but no goals before the final buzzer sounded.  Final Score - Stratford 1, Hamilton 1.
