ScotiaBank PeeWees score a win
The comfy surroundings of the Allman Arena were just what was needed.   After four straight road games the Scotiabank Peewee Warriors returned home on Saturday night and cast a spell on a strong Brantford 99er’s squad, posting a decisive 4-0 victory.

The Warriors came out of the gate flying, scoring three unanswered goals in the opening six minutes.  Zach Dow opened the scoring early on a pretty passing play from Hayden Arms and Carter Lewis, who both drew assists. Just over a minute later the Warriors made it 2-0 when Dylan Hall converted a pass from Calvin McCorkindale. Brenden Moorehead drew the other assist. Stratford maintained an intense forecheck and were rewarded when Dow notched his second of the game, six minutes into the opening period to make it 3-0.   Moorehead and Arms assisted on the goal. Constant pressure and excellent team defense frustrated Brantford who made multiple trips to the penalty box and the Warriors capitalized in the third. Brett Maguire unleashed a booming slap shot from the point for a power play marker midway through the third to finish out the scoring. Moorehead, with his third point of the night, and Lewis assisted.

Goalie Spencer Lazarevich proved unbeatable in in the Warrior’s net, posting the shutout, with yet another strong performance.
