Two goals by Josh Smith and a solid team effort led The Stratford Best Western-The Parlour Warriors to a 4-1 win over the Oakridge Aeros Wednesday night at the Molson Arena.
Smith opened the scoring in the first as he banged home a rebound in front of the net after Ryan Lott worked the puck out of the corner. Jake Emerson also assisted. Mac Starkebaum blasted a hard low shot from the point midway through the second that Emerson redirected in to give Stratford the 2-0 lead. Smith picked up an assist as well. Ethan Reid knocked home the Warriors third tally at the start of the third, an unassisted marker, and then later in the frame,Tyler Lingard and Smith cycled the puck out of the corner beautifully to lead to Smiths second of the game.
Stratford improved their round robin playoff record to 3-2-1.
