Warriors and 99ers in semis
Written by Dave Graff.  The SMHA Scotiabank Major Peewee Rep team began the Alliance Bristol semi finals on the weekend jumping out to a four points to zero lead over Brantford with back to back wins.

Saturday in game one in Brantford a Caleb Musselman top corner penalty shot goal broke a 2-2 tie early in the second period and from there the visitors added two more tallies and never looked back, shutting down the home side the rest of the way for a 5-2 victory.  Caleb Musselman’s first two goals of the game were sandwiched by two 99er goals in the first period with the hat trick penalty shot goal standing up as the winner.  Owen Duiker and Zach Carman, on a great individual effort breakaway goal added insurance markers for the winners.  Carman and Caleb Musselman also chipped in with assists as did Carter Musselman, Owen Gemmell, Erik Smith, Braydon Tinning and Nathan Graff. 

Sunday back home the Warriors came out flying with Smith and Carman scoring first period goals for a 2-0 Stratford lead after one period.  The visiting 99ers however took control of things in the second period scoring three straight goals before a Carter Musselman power play goal tied things up at three entering the third period.  Carter Musselman added another power play goal three minutes into the third and from there the home team shut down the visitors allowing just three third period shots making the final 4-3 for Stratford. Caleb Musselman had three assists while Tinning, Caelan Trupp, Maverick Mulder, Carman and Jack Whitehead added one each.  Goalie Tallyn Soper stopped 32 of 37 Brantford shots over two games to register both victories for the Warriors.  Game three goes Wednesday evening in Brantford.
