Warriors Heating Up
The Stratford Canadian Tire Major Bantam Warriors jumped back into Alliance A play Monday night at the Allman, and won their third regular season league game in a row, a 2-1 win over the Cambridge Hawks.
Ethan Scrimgeour opened the scoring for Stratford on a backhand shot, assisted by Joel DenOtter. Josh Smith scored the second for Stratford, created by the strong forecheck and assist from Hayden Arms. A short staffed defensive quartet of Brendan Moorehead, Trent Zorgdrager, Kolton Debus and Kobe Robinson were outstanding in the win, as was goaltender Jarod Fleming, who was beaten with just 1:30 remaining to lose his shutout bid.
