Taylor Leads Warriors with 1st Shutout!
The Rheo Thompson Tier 3 Novice Warriors had a successful weekend with a shutout win on Sunday and a tie on Saturday!

First game of the weekend had the Warriors up against Waterloo which ended up in a 4 - 4 tie. The boys fell behind at the 4:00 minute mark of the 1st period but quickly answered back with a pair of goals scored by Finley Newton and Liam Benton. Newton's goal was assisted by Hudsyn Chaput and Andrew Davis while Benton's helpers were Henry Flanagan and Rem Hruden. The visitors tied the game early in the 2nd only to have Hudsyn Chaput put the Warriors back out front, with assists going to Will McKee and Blake McIntosh. The game was a stalemate until midway throught the 3rd period where Waterloo pulled ahead for less than 2 minutes until Maddyx Chaput found the net to tie the game, assisted by Andrew Davis and Ethan Priestap.

Sunday the boys were playing host to the Burlington Bulldogs. A determined group took to the ice and maintained their discipline as a team, clearing the puck well and pressuring the Bulldogs consistently. Maddyx Chaput opened the scoring for the Warriors on a lone rush where he was determined to find the twine. Andrew Davis mirrored this same effort and put it top shelf leaving the boys ahead 2-0. Charlie Holloway had a short handed goal for the boys on a lone rush, and Maddyx Chaput found the net 1 more time, assisted by Blake McIntosh. Mason Bauld, Nash McIlroy, and Owen Vangestal all put in a great effort on defence helping to preserve Jake Taylor's superior effort in back stopping the boys to a 4-0 shutout! The entire team played well from one end of the bench to the other. Jake Taylor was awarded the player of the game for the Warriors.

Next action will see the boys head to Woodstock this Saturday to visit the Navy Vets.
