Neumeister Motor Novice Warriors fought hard during Weekend battles
The Neumeister Motors Novice Warriors played two games this past weekend.  On Saturday, the team hosted the North London Nationals.

The Nationals got on the board very early sneaking one by Stratford goalie Brock Herman.  Stratford wasn’t going down without a fight and fought to bring the score back to  2-2 after the first period.  Andrew Davis got Stratford on the board with a breakaway goal in the first giving Stratford the momentum they needed.  Liam Benton was quick to respond with a pass by Mason Bauld to tie the game up.  Stratford fought hard in the middle period to put the lead in their bench with goals by Davis and Alexander Robinson.  Assists went to Evan White-Roy and Henry Flanagan.  Warriors kept fighting hard and were holding on to a tie until the Nationals put one in with little time left on the clock.  Nationals overtook the Warriors 5-4.

On Sunday, the Warriors hosted the first place West London Hawks at the Allman Arena.  The Stratford squad faced the strong offensive lines of Hawks, battling hard to keep the Hawks out of our end.  The defensive plays by Henry Flanagan, Nash McIlroy, Blake McIntosh, Ethan Priestap and Will McKee helped goalie Jake Taylor to fend off the many shots by the Hawks.   Mason Bauld put Stratford on the board with a rebound shot by Harrison Robinet.  Flanagan was quick with his rush from the Warriors defensive end to put him in a position to score Stratford’s second goal of the game.  Robinson and Robinet were Stratfords remaining two goals  in the game despite chances in front of the National’s net.  Assists went to Oscar Seip and Benton.  Hawks won 14-4.  Stratford’s next action will see the Warriors travel to London on Saturday to face the London Bandits and then the Oakridge Aeros on Sunday.
