Minor Atom Rep Warriors in Strong Playoff Position!
The Holloway Automotive Minor Atom Rep Warriors solidified their quest for first place in their division with two wins this weekend!

A Friday night game in Waterloo got off to a slow start with two scoreless periods.  Netminder Brenden Sippel kept the Wolves off the boards with numerous glove and pad saves.  Finally,  in the third period Colin Slattery beat the Wolves goalie assisted by Carter Petrie and Grady Murphy.  With minutes left in the third Stratford picked up two shorthanded goals.  One came from Petrie, assisted by Murphy and the second from Blair Stokes unassisted.

On Saturday afternoon the Warriors took on the Burlington Bulldogs for a nailbiter that came right down to the wire.  Early in the game call up Reed Bowles took charge in net making some key saves.  In the final two minutes of play in the first, Colin Slattery finally put the Warriors on the board with helpers coming from Nathan Siebert and Colin Schultz.  In the second period Stratford goalie Aidan Hill and the Bulldogs’ goalie both came up with incredible saves time and time again to hold the game at 1-0.  With Stratford pressing hard in the third, and Burlington putting intense pressure on Hill, again both goalies held of the snipers until the Bulldogs were able to tie it 1-1. The Warriors pushed back in the final minutes of play looking for the go ahead goal and finally, with 17 seconds left in the game Colin Schultz fired one in, assisted by Slattery for the win 2-1.
