The Holloway Automotive Minor Atom Rep Warriors firmed up a bye to the 2nd round of playoffs with a first place finish in the regular season.
With two games on the schedule this week, the first was a repeat showdown with the Waterloo Wolves. The Warriors came out strong and never looked back with a lopsided 9-0 win. Goals came from Colin Slattery (2), Lukas Steele (2), Dawson White (2), Blair Stokes, Carter Petrie and Grady Murphy. While Colin Schultz, Cody Bach, Nathan Siebert, Slattery, Stokes, Murphy, Rylan Hall, Steele and Blake Hodgson chipped in with the helpers. Netminder Aidan Hill took the shutout in net with a solid game between the pipes.
The final game of regular season took place Sunday afternoon against the London Jr. Knights Green. The Warriors had a chance to work on key plays and new changes on the fly while coming up with a decisive 6-0 win. Goals came from White, Steele (2), Murphy, Slattery (2) and Bach and assists went to Petrie, Slattery, Schultz, Ryan Ganselves, Austin Musselman and Aaron Green. Impressive work from Brenden Sippel and Aidan Hill in net, as they literally shared the duties throughout the game.
The coaching staff is very pleased with the strong first place finish in the regular season and are geared up for the playoff round.
