Peewees Lose In a Shootout in the Semis
Scotia Bank Peewee Stratford Warriors Lost 3-2 in a shootout in the semi finals of the Nobleking tournament this past weekend, to the eventual tournament winners, the Grimsby Kings. The two goals in the game were scored by Jacob Hall with Zach McCann and Isaac Deline earning single assists.  The Warriors had many chances at the end of the 3rd as well as the four on four overtime, but couldn't seal the deal. Russel Sebben, named player of the game, played a strong game trying to keep the boys in it, only allowing 1 goal in the shootout, but that's all Grimsby needed.

In the first game of the tournament the Warriors lost 4-3 to the Collingwood Blackhawks who took an early lead and held on with the Warriors scoring late in the game but couldn't get the tying goal. Zach McCann scored first from Isaac Deline, and then Ethan Scrimgeour scored from Aubrey Carter and Cole Lewis from Tanner Meinen. Chadd Langlands was named player of the game and James Cormier-Hazen took the loss in net.

The Warriors handed a 13-0 domination game, allowing no shots on net, to the Sudbury Wolves. Jacob Hall, Caleb Schalk, Chadd Langlands and Cole Lewis all had two goals and two assists in the game. Aubrey Carter chipped in with two goals and an assist, Ethan Scrimgeour with one goal and two assists, Zach McCann and Anthony Guzvinec with one goal each, and player of the game, Nole Musselman, with two assists.  Single assists went to Connor McIntosh, Isaac Deline, Matthew Barber, Porter Aitken, Sam Bolger and Tanner Meinen. Not much work for Russell Sebben between the pipes.

The Warriors defeated the Noblekings 5-2 in the next game with a hattrick for Cole Lewis, a goal and an assist for Jacob Hall, Nole Musselman scoring a goal, and Sam Bolger, Zach McCann and Anthony Guzvinec with single assists. Matthew Barber was named player of the game.

In the final round robin game, the Warriors managed a 5-4 comeback win against North Toronto. Zach McCann scored the first 2 goals for the Warriors with assists going to Lewis (2), and Hall (1).  Hall followed with a goal of his own from Lewis to put the Warriors within 1 and then Ethan Scrimgeour scored from Chadd Langlands to tie it up. Cole Lewis found the empty net for the win, from McCann and Porter Aitken.
